I’m sure some of you think New York City and it’s suburbs are a great place to live. More power to you. I have no desire to live there. Growing up I always thought it would be a nice place to visit and one day I might. But I will never ever in this life or any other live in New York City or it’s suburbs.
Why do I say this? Because I talk to people from NYC each day at work. Here’s something I hear over and over “I have to leave for work at 630AM and I don’t get home until 700PM!” There is no way in hell I’m going to live anywhere that it takes me twelve and a half hours to get to work, do the work and then get home from work. Now how, no way, no thank you.
Am I saying that working all day is a bad thing? No. I’m saying working 12 and 1/2 hours a day to put money in somebody else’s pocket just doesn’t make sense. If you work for yourself, go for it.
I’ll give you another reason while I’m at it. Snow. Never live anywhere that water freezes as it falls from the sky. That’s why I live South of I-10. No snow.
