There has been a contest going on at work where an employee could win a jar full of candy. Peppermint candies to be exact. You would have to meet certain goals that related to your job to have a chance to guess how many peppermints were in the jar. Whoever got the right answer would win all of the candy. I’ve tracked my goals but really haven’t put any thought into trying to win. Other workers, my wife included, have been trying to win this thing but nobody has hit the magic number.
Sunday my wife told me to add up my goals and try. All total I was eligible to make four guesses as to how many peppermints were in the jar. It took all four guesses but I finally nailed it with 308 peppermint candies. The catch? The prize was all of the peppermints, not the jar & peppermints. Whoops! Luckily there was a plastic bag available to tote the candy home in.
So now I have more candy than I need. I think I’ll use it as stocking stuffer material. I’m sure my son will probably enjoy them.
