My kid. What can I say about my kid? I’ll tell you the story and let you decide.
As you know from reading here my son is moving in with me. The plan has him coming down for the week of Christmas, then spending the week of New Year with his mother and then finally moving in down here. My mother has offered to transport him back and forth. Thursday is his last day of school and instead of having my mother pick him up in the afternoon it was decided he would withdraw from the school on Wednesday afternoon.
Here’s my son in action. Knowing that Wednesday is his last day and knowing that the week of school prior to the Christmas holiday is usually pretty relaxed my son decided to accelerate the “withdraw from school” process. First thing Monday morning he gathered all of his school books in his locker and took them to the school office. He said “I’m moving so I don’t need these any more. I have one more book at home. I’ll bring in tomorrow.“
What? He did what?! You read it correctly. So now the plans have changed. Seeing as how he’s blowing off the last few days anyways my ex-wife will have him withdrawn tomorrow and my mother will pick him up a couple of days early. At least he’ll get time with his grandmother, uncle and aunt before he comes down.
My kid does the damndest things.
